Today was the most incredible shoot. Check it out!
I must confess. Alexis is not getting married.
Somehow I talked her into taking part in our crazy ideas. We bought an old, dirty wedding dress from DI and convinced her to scale a mountain in the blistering heat to an old, decaying, treacherous mine.
It was so worth it. These might be my most favorite shots I've ever taken.
The weather was hot and sticky, but the wind was blowing to keep us cool. It was annoying pushing our hair out of our eyes every 3 seconds, but it sure made for some cool veil/dress action.
Alexis was the best model ever! We'd say, "Go stand over there," and we'd turn around and she'd be posed so perfectly, we didn't have to say a thing. It's like she could see exactly what we were picturing.
We got tired and dirty climbing up and down the crumbling walls. Luckily, we have no emotional attachment to this dress (other than of course, it looks awesome!) We've got some big plans for this dress before it's retired or returned to DI. No one in their right mind would do these kind of things with their real wedding dress, so we're going to take full advantage of the fact that it can get dirty and not ruin the best day of someone's life.
Alexis, since this dress fits you like a glove, you're our girl. I'm giving you a heads up right now. This is your chance to run.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

Isn't Alexis just gorgeous!!! I'm VERY impressed, Sam. I can't believe that's a DI dress because it looks awfully nice from my view. Way to go!
Ya we got really lucky with the dress. It was the ONLY one without full beading down the front, huge puffy sleeves, and a bow on the butt.
I read Em's blog everyday, and like to wander peoples blogs. I love the pictures you took of your friend in the wedding dress! They are beautiful! I just thought I would tell ya!:)
Where did you do this shoot? I love it!!! Where are you taking a photography class?
